EHS Football Parent News
Check out for football equipment will now be a new process for the 2012 season. Just as you register for a sport online, we will now setup a registration process online for students who wish to checkout equipment before the football season officially begins. The registration window will be open starting in May and open through the end of July. The exact dates are TBD at this point.
Steps Prior to Checking out Equipment
1. Students will proceed through registration process online and put a $100 deposit on a credit card. Card will not be processed until after football season begins. This $100 deposit is completely separate from the HS fee to play football. This is the equipment rental fee if students wish to receive helmet/shoulder/practice jersey for summer workouts and camps.
2. Students will then head to Athletic office and receive 'pass' just as you would to play a sport. This pass will be brought to the Head Coach or Equipment manager on equipment checkout days.
3. Student will only receive football equipment prior to start day if the above steps are completed.
4. If the student does play football that fall, you will be charged $50 for the equipment rental. If the student ends up not playing football, the full $100 will be charged.
5. In addition, if any equipment is lost/stolen, the value of the equipment will be charged to the card on file.
For any families that need assistance, they will need to formally go through Athletic Director John Soma for any requests.
More information will be given at spring football meeting on March 13th.

We would like to highlight the EABC membership level that has proven to be the most popular - the $150 Hornet level. The reason for its popularity is families joining at this level receive $140 (20 adult tickets at $7.00 each) in complimentary tickets to all EHS 2011-2012 regular season home games charging admission, virtually paying for the membership. With Booster membership, you will avoid the long ticket lines at events and enter through the special Booster entrance. Booster members at the "Hornet" level and higher also have preferred access to EHS post-season tournament play when tickets are in heavy demand!
The Edina Athletic Boosters provide financial and non-financial support to all EHS athletic programs by:
Providing funding for facilities and equipment used by all student athletes (e.g. EHS fitness/weight room equipment) and EHS coaches to meet team-specific needs. Over the last 10 years Boosters has contributed over $500,000 to EHS Coaches and the Athletic Department.
Providing supporting functions which promote school spirit and enhance community involvement in and enjoyment of EHS athletics--
· Concessions at athletic functions - including volunteer staffing
· The Spirit Store - including volunteer staffing
· Free sport specific programs at athletic events
Sponsoring events which support and recognize EHS athletes and have become an important part of EHS athletics--
· Scholar Athlete Breakfast
· Annual Hall of Fame Banquet
· Fall, Winter and Spring Bean Feeds
